This year's Conference Board study on CEO Challenges contained some dramatic ndings for reward professionals. As opposed to previous years, CEOs report they are less concerned about external business environment factors, many of which are outside of their control. Instead, corporate leaders are squarely focused on their human capital strategies to drive performance and counter slowing economic growth (see Figure 1 below).
